This role is based remotely but if you live within a 50-mile radius of Atlanta, Austin, Detroit, Warren, Pontiac, Milford or Mountain View, you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum.
Our dynamic Talent Management organization is growing and seeking an experienced Talent Management Operations Specialist. You will be responsible for developing and overseeing administration and execution of GM’s Talent processes and solutions. This role will oversee programming designed to support employees throughout their career lifecycle. This includes leading and managing initiatives and tools for programs such as mentorship, career discussions, talent profiles, talent language library and leveling guides, among others. Critical to success is the ability to incorporate industry benchmarks and multiple stakeholder points of view that cultivate a culture of continuous development, and feedback, to unleash employee’s potential to achieve their ultimate career aspirations.
- Design, build and implement new talent processes that support the company’s objectives and drive employee engagement.
- Drive the execution of existing talent programs, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness while communicating results to internal audiences and making necessary modifications.
- Be a key partner to Leadership Development pillar to provide enterprise data trends from talent programs to guide development content and leadership programming.
- Collaborate with HRBPs, HR COE, and business leaders, to deliver GM’s talent strategy by designing and connecting all practices, programs, and processes to our talent philosophy.
- Strategically plan to incorporate HR operating system partnerships to improve quality and efficiency of and resources for increased user experience at world class levels across multiple platforms.
- Coach and empower management and HR teams on talent management topics, providing KPIs and implementing feedback to align organizational decisions with business needs.
- Interface with Talent Equity Specialist, to ensure talent practices support DEI practices and positively impact the Talent Equity score.
- Maintain knowledge and benchmark external talent trends, adapting key insights to GM Talent processes and solutions.
- Work closely with the Data & Insights team to measure the impact of programming, reporting results to key stakeholders and driving continuous improvement activities.
- Build and expand the HR and employee skillset on the Workday features for Talent processes.
- Monitor progress against key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Continuously seek ways to improve processes and responsibilities, ensuring excellence in service delivery and minimizing waste and variability.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and internal partners.
- Serve as a mentor to more junior level employees, providing coaching and guidance on talent practices.
