The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) organization is seeking a Lead MQ-25 Flight Test Engineer to join our team in Patuxent River, MD. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting Ground and Flight Test at multiple locations.
This position will reside in Patuxent River, MD but will start outside of St. Louis in Mascoutah, IL first at the Boeing MQ-25 Manufacturing Facility. When ground test is complete, the Flight Test Engineer will transfer with the aircraft to support testing at Naval Air Station in Patuxent River, MD.
As a Flight Test Engineer, you will be responsible for managing aircraft configuration and supporting test events. This position will work side by side with maintenance, test conductors, and discipline engineers to ensure that the aircraft is ready for test. As the team lead you will be responsible for mentoring and supporting MQ-25 Integrated Test Team teammates, to include both Boeing and Navy testing engineers, with technical challenges and ensuring the correct process and procedures are being followed.
Position Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and document standardized test methods and processes to ensure repeatability and productivity
- Lead the development of test procedures
- Apply lessons learned to the improvement of test procedures
- Design calibration system/test fixtures
- Develop data processing tools and algorithms
- Generate calibration procedures and software
- Guide others in the design of test hardware, software and systems to achieve test requirements
- Oversee debriefing of the test team
- Lead the analysis, processing and formatting of data to customer requirements
- Approve test data prior to delivery to customer
- Formulate expectations for test data based on historical data
- Perform functions as required to ensure calibration system readiness and data validity
- Train others
- Work under minimal direction
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 3+ years of developmental flight test experience
- 3+ years of experience leading and/or managing a team
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Hands-on experience with on-aircraft testing
- Experience working on military aircraft
- Willing and able to relocate to a variety of locations (domestic and international) to meet customer needs and fulfill the statement of work

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $121,550 – $164,450
