The role of Assistant Scientist-Media Buffer Prep in BioTherapeutics Department, API Large Molecule, supports cell culture product development and downstream product collection. The role is responsible for scheduling Media and Buffer Preparations for new and existing molecules (both antibodies and other large therapeutical proteins) as well as maintaining and updating chemical and consumable inventory. The role supports the Media and Buffer Prep Laboratory and works with the team to meet
Key Responsibilities:
- Supports cell culture product process development and product collection
- You will work in a team environment as well as contributing individually to meet project timeline and objectives.
- You will work towards maintaining a high level of quality to support alignment between Research and Manufacturing
- Support and assist in general laboratory tasks related to aseptic manipulation processes and pipettes
- Assist in maintaining accurate media and buffer recipes
- Maintain technician schedule of preparations to ensure accurate delivery of requested materials
- Maintain Raw Material inventory
- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Capture data accurately in a timely manner and maintain detailed records in compliance with applicable safety and environmental requirements
- Review ELN entries for detail and accuracy
- Brainstorm effective improvement plans to help the lab and the team work more efficiently and/or reduce cost/waste
- Assist in implementing improvement ideas
