What does a successful Senior Systems Engineer (Unisys) do at Fiserv?
You will lead all Unisys ClearPath MCP OS, Network, and other major software release planning and implementations. You will also configure, plan and manage system hardware upgrades and act as a technical lead on larger projects.
What you will do:
- Implementing and maintaining procedures to collect performance metrics and produce system performance and capacity reports
- Perform analyses (e.g., performs technical research to assess system performance and capacity)
- Manage and maintain 24x7 uptime on the mainframes including client related connectivity, application and platform issues
- Research products, solutions, technologies, and apply results to create presentations and documentation
- Establish and implement auditing standards and present evidence to the auditors (internal and external) for CAS, PCI, FFIEC, and SOC assessments
- Identify system performance bottlenecks and recommending performance improvement solutions
- Colloborate with business leaders to provide support, advice, and guidance on the correct application of products and technology solutions
- Apply technical expertise to support the deployment of technology architecture and the total system solution
What you will need to have:
- 5+ years of experience on Unisys MCP systems
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering in a Master Control Program (MCP) operating system environment, EMC disk subsystems, Work Flow Language (WFL), Communication Management System (COMS)
- 5+ years of experience with Windows, Data and Structure Definition Language (DASDL), and Open Distributed Transaction Processing (DTP)
- 5+ years of experience with AIX engineering in lieu of Unisys MCP systems
- 3+ years of experience in solution architecture, including designing and implementing scalable
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, military, and work experience
