About The Role
The purpose of the CBRE Assistant Facilities Manager position is to partner with the Facilities Management team in coordinating the completion of multiple functions related to building operations and maintenance for a commercial facility, campus, or a portfolio of buildings.
What You’ll Do
Oversees and coordinates building maintenance/repair, landscaping and janitorial work assignments performed by technicians, vendors and contractors.
Point of contact for front-line clients on various requests.
May occasionally undertake additional maintenance tasks as needed.
Responds to client inquires and concerns. Ensures timely and quality service delivery to clients. Follows-up with clients to ensure customer satisfaction.
Performs facilities inspections and prepares reports.
May coordinate and lead (MAC) move, add, and change activities.
Assists in the preparation of operating and capital budgets.
Develops and maintains vendor relationships and trains vendors on work order and billing procedures. Processes invoices and ensures accurate cost center coding.
Reviews periodic reports including financials and explains variances. Works with finance team to correct errors.
Uses PC and/or PDA for work order systems, email, process and procedure training.
Other duties may be assigned.
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate work and assign tasks.
What You’ll Need:
Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
Must have MEP knowledge and/or hands-on experience.
Ability to comprehend existing procedures and standards to address moderately complex issues.
Must possess the ability to analyze potential solutions by leveraging technical expertise to exercise sound judgment and apply relevant precedents.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Excellent organizational abilities and a proactive, inquisitive approach
Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
