We are searching for an experienced Estimator - Sales Support at our Mankato, MN facility.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Sales Estimator, this role will report to the National Sales Manager, and will provide sales support for multiple Regional Sales Representatives. This position is responsible to review, calculate, and process technical and sometimes complex quote requests daily, completing each within a specified time frame. Additionally, the position will act as a liaison for factory-supported needs for your regional sales.
The position is required to work independently, interacting daily with Regional Sales Representatives and factory support personnel, as well as communicate with customers. Having an eye for detail, an aptitude for technical data and processing/computer skills are essential.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The Sales Support Estimator supports the field sales team through pricing activities and technical product information, maintaining documents and files as well as coordination of Sales with Engineering, Supply Chain and Production. This position provides both marketing and customer service support through electronic and print media, written and oral communication and in-person activities. This role is expected to be a subject matter expert on the technical features, benefits, and costing of our product offerings.
- Generate pricing for assigned products, including reviewing construction documents, working with Field Sales Reps and customers to determining best solutions, generating proposals (utilizing quoting tools such as our ERP system and Excel), researching pricing (from Engineering, Operations, Purchasing and Vendors) and order processing.
- Support Field Sales team with technical product information, including specifications, defining scope of work, coordinating sales drawings with engineering team.
- Maintain and organize all technical sales support documents and files.
- Support marketing activities with sales team and executive marketing department, including assisting with coordination of tradeshow and conferences materials, and providing support for website, brochures, and email/ad campaigns development.
- Maintain estimated profitability forecasts for existing project backlog
- Responsible for accuracy and profitability of project estimates.
- Provide backup support to Customer Service and Technical Support team, including phone support.

- Experience and competency with similar products strongly preferred.
- Ability to propose optimum solutions to customers and prospects from our Enterprise-wide product line.
- Microsoft proficiency in Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Advanced level proficiency in Excel.
- Experience with manufacturing/ERP system, Salesforce or other CRM, Dodge and CAD Viewing programs.
Recommended: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
