Job Summary Details: The
MAC Technician will be directly responsible for providing manual labor in moving equipment and furnishings for client’s employees and departments. The MAC technician will set up and take down chairs, tables, podiums, AV equipment and floor coverings as directed in the event setup plan. MAC technician will use special handling equipment as necessary. MAC technician will take guidance from the MAC Manager in the performance of duties. The MAC technician will direct 3rd party moving personnel as necessary.
Pay: $31.25/hr
The pay listed is the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Essential Duties:
- Must be physically able to perform repetitive loading and unloading of product by hand.
- Will be required to process work orders on a provided smartphone.
- Maintaining assigned workorders in a timely matter.
- Must have a high attention to detail.
- Ability to always maintain safety protocols.
- Safety and efficiently load and unload heavy equipment and furniture.
- Ensure all items are packed for transport without damage.
- Moves and loads furniture and equipment in accordance with supervisor’s instructions to complete work orders as specified by clients and/or MAC Coordinator.
- Safety lifts, pushes, and pulls up to and exceeding 50LBs.
- Clearly communicates written and oral information to and from supervisor, clients and/or MAC Coordinator. To perform the job’s essential functions.
- Demonstrates professional behavior with co-workers and clients to represent Facilities Services organizational goals.
- Manage warehouse, incoming and outgoing inventory.
- Operates power and manual warehouse equipment to efficiently load and unload material.
- Works as team member to load, transport, unload and relocate furniture and equipment to collect, manage and dispose of customer property in support of campus clients and departments.
- Safety drive and maneuver a box truck or van.
- Experience in moving furniture, assembly skills. Artwork hanging is a plus.
- Assist with unloading deliveries as needed.
- Maintains cleanliness, organization skills and inventory within warehouse.
- Must be regularly available and willing to work 8 hour per day, 40 hours per week or such hours per day pr hours per week as the employer determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
- Must be able to install and uninstall, reconfigure furniture based on clients demands.
- Applying property protection, load items onto and off dollies onto and off trucks.
- Ensure site cleanup (removal of packaging, cartons etc.)
- Provide excellent customer services as your safety move, pack and unpack customer/client belongings.
- Provides own tools.
- Position would also include light documentation of goods transported and/or job specific information.
- Must have basic computer / laptop knowledge.
- Should be able to read floor plans and furniture assembly documents.
- Provides manual labor in relocating furnishings, event setup equipment and general move requests
- Reviews work order tickets to ensure all move-related services are completed
- Follows work schedules created by MAC manager
- Completes AGU class set up requests
- Handles key and lock requests from clients
- Perform other duties as assigned. Job duties may be modified at any time.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 5+ year in moving and modular furniture experience.
- Valid Driver license with 3+ years of good driving.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, work independently, meet schedules and time lines.
