What does a successful Business Resilience Manager do?
The AIBMS Business Resilience Manager is a business-critical role responsible for ensuring 1st Line of Defence (1FLOD) compliance with Operational and Digital resilience guidelines. This role is deemed as a Controlled Function role (CF2) under the Central Bank of Ireland Fitness and Probity Regulations.
What you will do:
- Alignment of 1LOD Regulatory Risk & Outsourcing function with Operational and Digital Resilience regulatory guidelines.
- High quality KPI monitoring and identification of proposed metrics for successful ICT outsourcing controls and understanding where and when problems arise.
- Involvement with contract negotiations with ICT service providers and coordination of the contract contents with the legal department, the 1LOD Regulatory Risk and Outsourcing Manager.
- Preparation of ICT and Non-ICT outsourcing provider risk reports for SMT, Business Committee and the Executive Directors of the FMPI Board
- Active member of the Oncall team. Management of Annual Business Recovery exercises (Incld. Exit Strategies), manage output reports & associated lessons learnt and alignment of Business Processes within the Business Continuity Portal.
- Creation and Support of Monthly Resilience Dashboard
- Management of Annual Resilience Scenario Tests
- Support the creation and implementation of Business Impact Assessments and Business Recovery Plan for Critical and Important Functions.
What you will need to have:
- Degree (e.g. business administration, economics, business law, law or comparable).
- Five plus years of professional work experience in comparable positions/ IT Service Management.
- Expertise in the field of regulation of financial services companies.
- Communication and influencing skills, and assertiveness.
- Analytical, commercial and results driven with experience working in a fast-paced environment being essential.
- The ability to work across all areas of the business a strong business acumen is a must.
- Knowledge of the drafting of contracts including SLAs and KPIs for service provider monitoring and control.
- This role is deemed as a Controlled Function role (CF2) under the Central Bank of Ireland Fitness and Probity Regulations. Commitment to adhere to the IAF Conduct Standards is a requirement for this role.
