We are seeking an experienced Enterprise project manager to join the Portfolio Management Office (PMO). The candidate primary role will be responsible for leading the digital transformation of project management processes across hydrocarbon construction projects. This role involves integrating advanced digital tools, automation, and data analytics to enhance project planning, execution, and governance. The candidate will work closely with project managers, IT teams, engineers, and senior leadership to develop and implement enterprise-wide digital project management solutions that improve efficiency, transparency, and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
• Support the development and implementation of enterprise-wide project portfolio management tools (Platform), along with automation solutions and advanced analytics, to enhance project planning, monitoring and execution; this should provide real-time visibility into programs performance and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
• Clarify design expectations, develop functional requirements, build project
templates, and understand workflow needs in order to effectively design, configure, and successfully deliver the Platform across programs.
• Establish standardized digital project management methodologies and tools , ensuring integration with existing business processes.
• Assist in utilizing artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and predictive analytics to improve decision-making and risk management.
• Design and implement interactive dashboards and custom reports that provide real[1]time project metrics, incl. cost tracking, resource allocation and progress monitoring.
• Leverage digital solutions to assess risks, automate mitigation plans, and enhance early warning systems for project deviations.
• Utilize advanced forecasting models and digital resource planning solutions to ensure efficient utilization of manpower, materials, and finances.
• Collaborate closely with IT teams and other stakeholders to integrate the Platform with existing ERP, procurement and engineering systems.
• Produce, edit, distribute and maintain a variety of business documents, incl.
reports, technical mappings and specifications, procedures, training materials,
tailored for different audiences.
• Conduct training programs and workshops to educate existing project personal and facilitate onboarding for new employees on digital project management best practices and tools.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2, or Agile certification is
preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in digital project management, enterprise systems implementation, or digital transformation.
- Experience in managing digitalization initiatives for large-scale industrial or
construction projects is preferred.
- Proficiency in digital project management tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP PPM, Oracle Primavera Cloud, or similar).
- Familiarity with AI, data analytics, cloud computing, and digital automation in
project management.
- Familiarity with enterprise IT systems such as SAP, Power BI, or other business intelligence tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement and change management skills.
- Fluent in English and Arabic; additional language skills are a plus
