What does a successful Accounting Manager do?
Your role will be to supervise and coordinate team duties related with clearing settlements for card schemes organisations in our Operations Department.
What you will have to do:
- Day to day team support and management
- Supervise and coordinate team duties related with clearing settlements for card schemes organisations
- Support settlement/clearing process and ensure proper operations
- Ensure all policies and working standards are met
- Help solve issues related with accounts clearing and settlement
- Check and monitor documentation related with clearing and settlement
- Ensure 24/7 support where required to facilitate customer, card and scheme settlements (participation in support calls, meetings and project prioritisation activities)
- Take part in implementation of new products and services related with operations/clearing/settlements, create functional requirements, develop and test changes/upgrades in clearing/settlement software.
What you will have to have:
- Experience in similar role in the clearing and settlements teams in operations
- Knowledge of card schemes regulations
- Knowledge of local regulatory and financial requirements (KNF) and collaboration across key stakeholders and lines of defence
- Experience in financial analysis
- Knowledge of finance/accounting systems
- Accounting experience in GL and sub-ledger
- Experience in financial reporting (GAAP standards) and costs accounting
- Excellent organization skills and ability to delegate tasks to subordinates
- Strong collaboration and leadership skills and mature business approach
- Ability to present and communicate at senior levels across teams locally and regionally
- Ability to take quick decisions and work in a fast paced environment.
