Construction Project Engineer

Are you a motivated construction professional looking to move into construction management and gain further experience?

This is an ideal opportunity for someone eager to take the next step in their career, working on high-quality and high-profile building infrastructure projects.

We are seeking a Construction Project Engineer to play a key role in project coordination and site management while developing leadership skills in a supportive and collaborative environment. The position is site based at Port Adelaide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a key point of contact between the client, managing contractor, and technical site support team.

  • Coordinate and oversee the technical site support team, ensuring timely responses to Requests for Information (RFIs), shop drawing reviews, and site inspections.

  • Work across multiple disciplines, including civil, structural, building services, security, and architecture.

  • Support the successful delivery of major building infrastructure projects.

  • Assist with on-site construction administration, ensuring smooth project execution.

  • Contribute to the first phase of construction and support future project stages as they develop.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Experience in construction project coordination, contract administration, or site supervision, preferably in the buildings infrastructure sector.

  • Understanding of construction processes, project lifecycles, and compliance requirements.

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications.

  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with contractors, clients, and project teams.

  • Problem-solving skills to identify and address site challenges efficiently.

  • Familiarity with construction safety standards and risk management.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and stakeholders in a fast-paced site environment.

  • Proficiency in project management software or tools is a plus.
