The Role:
The Launch Technical Support Engineering Lead will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all torque-related activities during the launch phase using the Torque Master Dot. This role involves ensuring compliance with torque requirements, managing tooling and equipment, and collaborating with various teams to achieve successful project outcomes. This position requires the use substantial independent judgment in complex or unusual situations. This position may also involve training others and assigning work to a small group of employees.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

Participate in new model launches at other facilities and attend torque confirmation reviews.

Work with seasoned Torque Coordinators and attend training sessions to understand all torque requirements and standards.

Review and understand all PCP, BoO, TEB, and fastening requirements, including KCDS codes and SAT/UAT completion.

Schedule torque process and new technology training for Launch and Plant personnel as required.

Identify roles and responsibilities and lead completion of all aspects of the Torque Launch Master Dot.

Track KCDS code changes and maintain a tracking list for new/relocated tools.

Schedule and conduct weekly status meetings with relevant stakeholders.

Create and maintain a Launch Torque Process Strategy list.

Attend Tech 8 Meeting.

PFCM/Change Managements.
-
Represent Maintenance/Torque/Process in MQRR/PQRR events.

Manage spare parts and tracking POU.
-
Identify and order required tools and equipment, ensuring proper power requirements and planning for long lead items.

Develop timing plans for SSE requirements and create plans for TCR elements to be completed by start of regular production.

Coordinate with ME and strategic suppliers for tooling, programming, and error proofing.

Review critical/important quality/throughput issues related to launch.

Support/Troubleshoot launch error proofing issues with Controls.

Support Quality Tech Support in development of static torque routes.

Ensure programming in torque controllers matches APM and PCP requirements.

Validate and confirm torque controllers, review ToolsNet results, and initiate Launch TFTQ Metrics.

PM&C System (bank counts & systems analysis).

Manage Atlas Support and Processes.

Complete PFMEA activities.

Verify controllers are reporting to ToolsNet and create static torque routes based on standardized work.

Perform static checks as required by Global Quality Requirements and track launch fastening problems.

Lead UAT process and review angle monitoring data.

Review TCR results with relevant stakeholders and ensure any discrepancies have owners.

Ensure effective angle monitoring.

Summarize static correlation studies and hand off completed Launch Fastening checklists to the plant.

Ensure completion of 100% SAT and UATs with support from the execution team.
