Compensation Range:
Hourly: $27.85 - $36.20
Position Summary
With general supervision, the Military Enrollment Outreach Specialist champions the growth for National University’s California Military Bases and community military/veteran outreach to grow university enrollments and brand awareness. Plans and implements outreach strategies and actions, as well as represents the University to California Base commands, veterans’ events and is called on by the Workforce Education National military team as needed to cover events in San Diego. They will work in coordination with Campus Operations, to ensure approval and coordination has been conducted for any approvals from the Education Officers on each base.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinates events through base leaders and networking contacts from the community.
- Set up tables, presentations and follow up with both the partners after the event to discuss the success of the events.
- When the event is on the base, they will meet with the Education Officer and discuss the success of the event.
- Work closely with the Director of Military Enrollment and strategize events based on military base needs that are stated in National Universities Memorandum of Understanding for each California Base.
- Collaborate with faculty to invite them to the events that impact their programs.
- Implement, attend, and manage recruitment activities such as education fairs, open house/information sessions, tuition assistance briefs, reserve weekends and prospective student meetings.
- Builds and improves company image and seeks methods to further promote University awareness.
- Informs and meet with leadership on outreach and military events for planning direction.
- Documents and tracks outreach efforts on Client Relationship Management (CRM) and other scheduling software (Salesforce and Monday.com) for planning and reporting purposes.
- Plans, organizes, and manages internal procedures and resources to ensure the proper recording of data and the successful obtaining of lead generation, outreach, and meeting of partnership goals.
- Track mileage and expenses, reconcile twice a month.
- Document all interactions in Salesforce
- Completes the Department of Defense, PsyArmor, military benefits, including Tuition Assistance, GI Bill benefits, Scholarship’s, and Federal and state funding.
- Responsible for knowing the policies and all program information.
- Work with the on-location Education service officers (ESO) to relay information from the Ed Office back to NU.
- Work with ESO and campus ops to ensure students have access to the bases to attend classes.

Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in higher education, community college, admissions, or business development, required.
- Experience in higher education is strongly preferred.
- Experience working in a technology-driven enterprise preferred.
- All skills, abilities and education will be considered for minimum qualifications.
- Pass a background check to have access to military bases.

- Proficiency with Salesforce CRM.
- Compliant with all Department of Defense and all Military base Memorandum of Understanding.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation.
Location: Hybrid (San Diego)
Travel: Frequent Travel Required; up to 70% for employer/partnership cultivation and participation in partnership and system-wide events as a representative of National University.

Candidate receiving offers will be offered a salary/pay rate commensurate with experience that vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies. Absent exceptional circumstances, candidates will be offered a salary within this range for this position. The minimum salary will be offered based on the minimum exemption threshold based on state of residency.
