The Role
We are seeking a Senior Motorsports CFD Analyst to join a multi-disciplined team of engineers who are responsible for developing, correlating, and analyzing full car and subsystem simulations of varying complexity. You will work with GM Motorsports colleagues and GM race teams to ensure the teams can develop the highest performing vehicles possible. Working within the motorsports aerodynamics team, you will provide support, methods, and analysis for wind tunnel and track development and correlation.

What You’ll Do:

Support full car and subsystem models capable of detailed aerodynamic simulation.

Develop and execute CFD simulations, analyze and report on results to help GM team develop race winning cars.

Plan and conduct correlational analysis of CFD and wind tunnel test results.

Encourage and assist colleagues to work in an efficient and high paced manor to increase the performance and knowledge of the team.

Assist developers to implement new methods and processes to the GM Motorsport pipeline.

Remain apprised of the latest developments in the field of CFD to keep the models at the leading edge of technology.

Interface and collaborate with GM Race Teams, GM Production, GM IT and GM Software groups to ensure technology developed is transferred effectively.
