What does a successful Senior Infrastructure and Operations Engineer at Fiserv do?
You will be a part of a team supporting the delivery and implementation of the Commerce Hub platform. You will lead and coordinate infrastructure and business projects, ensuring all development activities align with the best practices and standards set by Fiserv. In this role, you will be an escalation point of contact for Commerce Hub application and must be able to handle challenging issues related to supporting various applications and systems. Participation in an active on-call rotation is essential to maintaining acceptable levels of service delivery for our clients.
What you will do:
- Develop and manage applications in a Cloud Computing environment using AWS, Apigee PCF, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Solutions teams to review software enhancements and provide design feedback.
- Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and resolve incidents.
- Create JIRA documentation for the engineering team to correct identified bugs.
- Conduct deep dive analysis to identify root causes of problems and incidents, restoring services promptly.
- Manage software configuration for host and off-host platforms, including change deployment, execution, job scheduling, release management, and implementation.
- Troubleshoot and restore services to applications, networks, and systems using industry-accepted techniques.
- Create and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to automate deployments.
What you will need to have:
- 6+ years of information and operations engineering experience.
- 5+ years of experience reviewing java code.
- 5+ years of experience with monitoring tools such as, Splunk, Grafana, Cloud Watch, AppDynamics, and Dynatrace.
- 5+ years of experience supporting Restful APIs and web services.
- 3+ years of experience in application integrations and release management utilizing tools such as Jenkins, Gitlab, Harness, IaaS, PaaS, Elk.
- 3+ years of experience with AWS, Google Cloud or Azure.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and military experience.

- Experience creating SQL queries.
- Proficiency at handling multiple projects with competing deadlines.
