Position Summary: Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Manager. The successful candidate will assist in managing projects related to USSTRATCOM strategic weapon system planning programs and emerging commercial systems. The role involves supporting capabilities-based assessments, modeling and simulation activities, technology studies, and engineering analyses to enhance system performance, survivability, and cybersecurity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Execution: Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Risk & Issue Management: Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively address project challenges to avoid delays.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between teams, clients, and leadership to ensure alignment, clarity, and timely decision-making.
- Agile & Waterfall Methodologies: Apply appropriate project management frameworks based on project needs, balancing Agile and traditional approaches.
- Performance Monitoring: Track project progress, create reports, and ensure milestones are met using key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess project management processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and quality.
- Vendor & Resource Management: Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth execution and delivery of project requirements.
- Compliance & Documentation: Maintain proper project documentation, adhere to organizational policies, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

- Location: On-site
- Travel Requirements: Minimal 0-20%

Qualifications:
Required:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Typically requires 2 to 4 years of relevant experience within the program
- Clearance: Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility
- Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience: Prior internship or work experience in project management
- Certification: PMP Certification or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
Desired:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Project Management Certification: PMI- ACP
- Scrum Certification:
- Certified Scrum Product Owner
- Certified Scrum Master
- Work Environment Experience: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Project Management Tools: Proficiency in project management software tools
- Microsoft Office: Experience with Microsoft Office products to include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Skills: Demonstrated problem- solving skills
- Project Management Methodologies: Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and Waterfall
