About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Business Execution Consultant to support model risk management within the CIB Model Risk Governance team. The Consultant's primary responsibility will be to support the compliance of Model Risk Management Policy and Procedures and evidence policy execution. The successful candidate will be responsible for a book of business and coordinate with owner, developers and the business ensuring policy requirements are met and appropriately documented. We are looking for a results-driven individual who has a strong attention to detail with excellent communication, organization and project management skills.
In this role, you will:- Responsible for execution of model risk activities ensuring compliance with Model Risk Management Policy
- Model Governance subject matter expert for the business to educate and guide partners on requirements and monitor activities to ensure compliance with policies.
- Support the coordination of policy requirements to ensure control-level activities are completed in a timely manner, evidence is maintained in required template, evidence is stored in the system of record and items at risk are escalated.
- Exercise independent judgment and provide guidance to owners, developers and frontline to meet business objections and policy requirements.
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Support identification of models within CIB by independently challenging the business on recommended classifications and owning final classification of tools as models, EUCTs, and exclusions.
- Perform assessments through fact finding and data requiring creative approaches to solving complex governance/policy compliance/process issues and develop appropriate solutions or recommendations.
- Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business group's functional area or products, facilitate decision making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans.
- Manage updates to the system of record for models and ensure compliance with Model Risk Management Policy
Required Qualifications, US:- 4+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:- Familiarity with Capital Markets such as FX, Structured Products, Equity Markets and CRE (Commercial Real Estate)
- Understanding and knowledge of quantitative modeling
- Effective communication with Business Groups (i.e. excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills)
- Experience in independent risk management, governance, or process driven roles in Capital Markets.
- Experience leading efforts/projects teams with multiple stakeholder groups
- Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
- Ability to articulate issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
- Experience with trading or second line oversight for sales and trading partners
