About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Technology Director to perform comprehensive and end to end execution of large data center migrations and transformations, establish an organization to deploy private cloud, and manage Red Hat OpenShift mobilization for all applications within the EFT portfolio. The Migration Director is responsible for leading, planning, and executing migrations to the container solution. This individual will manage a cross-functional team, establish migration best practices, and ensure strategic business objectives are met.
In this role, you will:- Lead and deliver a large-scale migration initiative including planning, resource allocation, budgeting, and risk management
- Perform application assessment for readiness and identify process and architectural optimizations
- Define and implement best practices and compliance with security, scalability, performance standards
- Manage a team of engineering managers and engineering leads
- Define the development of actionable roadmaps and plans as it relates to container and data center migrations of technology
- Implement opportunities and strategies for continuous improvement of software engineering practices
- Provide oversight to software craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third party providers
- Develop strategies for hiring engineering talent
- Lead implementation of projects and encourage engineering innovation
- Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
- Lead team to achieve objectives
- Interface with external agencies, regulatory bodies or industry forums
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Technology Strategic Leadership
- Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Required Qualifications:- 8+ years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years with a financial services organization support data center and container modernization, migrations and transformations
- 3+ years' Experience in Red Hat and OpenShift Administration and DevOps
- 4+ years of Management experience
Desired Qualifications:- Experience with Agile
- Knowledge of database migration and application refactoring strategies
Job Expectations:- Must be able to work onsite in Charlotte, NC or Raleigh, NC
Pay RangeReflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
Salary is just one component of Wells Fargo's total rewards package. Depending on the role, a Wells Fargo's employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
$207,900.00 - $431,900.00
