Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Full Time, Entry Level, Engineering Aide in Palo Alto.
In this role you will do the following: Manage lab equipment including calibration, audits, repairs, and disposition. Process the handling and packaging of high value flight and non-flight hardware. Procurement of parts and equipment and expediting the process from acquisition request to delivery. Implement an improved process for property management including organizing, tracking, and maintaining a central equipment repository that can be efficiently shared by all lab users in Palo Alto. Setup and maintain lab space and take on responsibility to become a lab supervisor.
The Successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of the following: ability to be a quick learner of company processes and develop solutions to implement efficiency. Be organized, detail oriented, and resourceful to overcome obstacles in an expedited manner. Proficiently follow through on all assignments to completion. Be self-motivated to work both independently and as part of a team.
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:- Associate degree in a STEM field, related work experience and/or technical training. Completed coursework towards a related degree may be considered.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work in a collaborative and team based environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including technical interchange between design team and outside vendors.
- Experience with processing aerospace hardware for packaging and transportation.
Desired Skills:- Preferred Candidates will have an Associate's degree in a STEM related field.
- Able to work independently within a team and handle multiple priorities and internal customers.
- Ability to tackle detailed technical assignments often requiring learning or developing planning and integration skills.
- Laboratory and/or hardware integration and handling skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
- Knowledge of Material Resource Planning (MRP) for procurement.
- Knowledge of equipment calibration and inventory tracking processes.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $58,300 - $102,810. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
