The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Business Process Owner for our Member Digital Communications team.
As a business process owner, you will plan and coordinate activities for moderately complex processes, including problem definition, evaluation of requirements, design, testing, and implementation of business processes. Supports alignment of process to overall experience strategy and vision.
We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position will be based in San Antonio, TX. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
What you'll do:
- Develops, sustains, and manages defined business processes through a structured approach.
- Applies foundational knowledge of the business and assists with alignment of business deliverable processes and capabilities with business needs.
- Identifies, owns, executes, enhances, and aligns controls to mitigate operational and compliance risks as it pertains to owned processes.
- Plans and coordinates the overall health of processes by developing control limits, monitoring key performance indicators, etc.
- Assists with development of communication plans for customers and internal stakeholders.
- Responsible for adhering to management routines and creating reporting that clearly demonstrates the state of process performance. Identifies trends and opportunities for existing business process and proposes recommendations for enhancements.
- Stays current with emerging technologies and evaluates business processes to lead continuous process improvement efforts.
- Lead solution development including business case / benefits substantiation and drive business requirements for process improvement initiatives.
- Supports the execution of new and modifications to existing applications and processes to provide new or improved capabilities, products, and/or services. Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What you have:
- Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- 2 years business process execution/knowledge/experience, consulting, and/or process engineering/optimization.
- Working experience in process mapping, modeling and/or process documentation.
What sets you apart:
- US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner.
- Basic knowledge gathering requirements for the development and branding of USAA operational communications.
- Experience in successfully applying quality management, process improvement, and problem-solving tools and methodologies.
- Understanding and application of process management standards and policies, and knowledge of applicable regulations and risk management practices.
- Skilled at developing, editing, revising, and reviewing operational communications templates in response to business feedback.
- Experience collaborating with different levels of stakeholder’s involved in the development of the operational communications.
- The ability to meet business directed production dates.
- Basic knowledge of Property and Casualty (P&C) and Enterprise CoSA products.
- Basic knowledge of the Genesis/Salesforce system.
- Experience in business process consulting with a strong customer service orientation.
- Demonstrates strong critical thinking abilities and effective listening skills.
Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $62,470 - $105,420.
Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.
Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
