Position Overview:
Boeing is seeking multiple Technical Drafters to join our engineering team in Albuquerque working on a new program designing and testing advanced concepts for the Department of Defense. This position will primarily work with our Mechanical Engineering group, translating designs into manufacturable drawings and specifications. In addition this position will work with our other engineering disciplines to develop drawings to aide in visualization of optical layouts and system architectures. The ideal candidate will have experience in computer aided tools such as Solidworks and NX, and will have experience with drafting support for optical systems.

Position Responsibilities:
Develops engineering requirements into product definition data (e.g., detail, assembly and installation drawings, Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) data, parts list or Bill of Material (BOM) etc.).
Maintains product/part structure and configuration management of product components.
Provides guidance on product definition data creation methods.
Performs validation of product definition data to insure the accuracy of completed work.
Assembles subsystem mechanical parts and works with engineering team for final system assembly.
Validates manufacturing to specification compliance
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):
5+ years of experience with computer aided design (CAD) tools for the design of mechanical components/assemblies
5+ years of experience in the mechanical design/drafting field
5+ years of mechanical and assembly integration experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):
Active Top Secret Clearance
5+ years of experience with 3D Design software, such as Unigraphics NX, SolidWorks and/or CATIA

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range (level 3): $61,200 - $82,800
Summary pay range (level 4): $73,100 - $98,900
