EDUCATION
• BS degree in engineering e.g., mechanical, electrical, welding, civil or construction management is preferred or 10-years Construction Operations or Quality Management experience.
Preferred
• Preferably a minimum of 5-years’ experience as a quality inspector, and 5-years as a quality manager, or quality assurance professional relative to the Utility Construction.
• Experience developing and implementing construction quality management programs in the Heavy Industrial, Power, OGC or Water markets.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Quality Inspector, Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Auditor.
• Working knowledge of construction industry codes, standards, and jurisdictional requirements (ACI, AWS, ASTM, ASME, NEC, etc.)
• Experience with database and spreadsheet management, utilization, and implementation.
Required
• Experience developing and reviewing quality plans, inspection and test plans, audit plans, and other management documents required to execute and evaluate work.
• Experience in training, training management, procedure analysis and development, and operational excellence.
• Ability to lead through collaboration and influence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Competent in the Microsoft Office Suite of software. Ability to adapt to job-related software.
• Ability to identify requirements associated with construction plans and specifications.
• Demonstrated success in managing support staff.
• Demonstrated ability to train others and monitor their work for quality and completeness.
• Proficient at time management

WORK / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights up to 20 lbs. The position requires good hand-eye coordination; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read. The employee is frequently required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. Ability to work up to a 12-hour shift in varying temperature extremes and other outside conditions while conducting as required
