Job Description
The principle officer will have oversight for a country Branch and in partnership with the Head Office, to lead the Branch and to manage and direct the operational activities of the Branch by establishing and executing the Branch's operating and business plan to achieve objectives. Participation may be direct, or indirect through delegates, and involve reviewing and approving the planned activities of the Branch. Fosters communication and advances cooperation between Head Office expectations, Branch plans and Branch performance. Monitors the Branch business and its progress toward its strategic and operational goals, taking action when performance falls short. Identifies principal risks of the Branch business and ensures the implementation, in partnership with the Head Office, of appropriate systems and controls to effectively monitor and manage such risks. Responsible for the Branch internal control and management information systems. Develops approach to corporate governance and approving and monitoring compliance with all significant policies and procedures related to corporate governance. Communicates financial performance and systems with the Head Office, employees, regulators, internal and external auditors, and such other outside parties as may be appropriate.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting or other related field
- Eight or more years of banking experience
- Three or more years of management experience

- Thorough knowledge of division and relation to industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Considerable tact, diplomacy and people skills
