Description: You will be the Procurement Engineer Senior for the Precision Fires Engineering team. Our team is responsible for improving the supply chain and reducing supply chain risk to program performance, specifically supporting the GMLRS and ER programs.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Procurement Engineer Senior, you will be responsible for assessing and mitigating supply chain risks, developing strategic plans to improve supplier capabilities, and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and automation.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Conducting supplier capability and capacity assessments
• Developing and managing risk mitigation plans and supplier roadmaps
• Creating and maintaining Statements of Requirements
• Responding to production disruptions and implementing affordability initiatives
• Increasing automation and advanced manufacturing technology in the supply chain
• Standardizing Procurement Engineering processes
• Participating in process improvement activities, such as controlled builds and failure investigations

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline
• Experience working with suppliers or subcontractors
• Ability to facilitate cross-functional teams and discussions to drive results
• Project Management Experience
• Ability to obtain a secret clearance
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and industry specifications
Desired Skills:
• Background/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or similar field, or equivalent experience/combined education
• Green Belt or Black Belt certified
• Experience with Process Simulator, SIMIO, or other capacity analysis tools
• Risk Management Experience
• Statement of Work or Requirements writing experience
• Ability to drive process improvements and/or root cause/corrective actions utilizing quantitative analytical methods
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
