The AN/BLQ-10 Submarine Electronic Warfare System is critical to our U.S. Naval Submarine fleet and force projection capabilities. The BLQ-10 is a proven, low-risk, and affordable solution that provides critical analysis in the modern battlefield. It automatically detects, acquires, identifies, and localizes signals of immediate importance to the submarine commanding officer. The BLQ-10 displays and reports Mission Tasking, Quick Search Primary and Secondary Threat Warnings, Precision and Communications Direction Finding, Signal Alerts, and Analysis/Situation Assessment. Designed with a flexible open architecture, it provides the ability for future growth and upgrades to ensure the most modern capabilities are delivered to our Warfighter.
THE WORKThis position is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment supporting a Navy Electronic Warfare System. In this role the candidate will become a member of an established lab team supporting the BLQ-10 System. This position will primarily be working in the Syracuse Test and Development Labs along with some domestic or international travel (<10% of time). Please note that there is no remote work opportunities with this position. The candidate will support day to day lab activities to include the following but are not limited to:
1) Installation of system hardware and software:
a. This involves but is not limited to cabling, hardware installation, software installation; and fault diagnoses.
2) Administrative duties as it pertains to the following activities:
a. Hardware security, test equipment tracking, purchase requisitions, equipment moves.
3) Troubleshooting utilizing various types of test equipment
4) Perform other duties as assigned by the lab lead (i.e. Engineering change installation, general lab organization, support other lab team members with tasking).
As mentioned, some domestic or international travel will be required on an as needed basis in support of system installation and or system upgrades. The candidate will support an established team in the designated location when on travel. These locations could be to domestic or international locations at different shipyards or submarine bases.

Basic Qualifications:1) Domestic travel and or international travel to low, medium, and high-risk security level countries is required.
2) Demonstrated experience in electronic and mechanical troubleshooting.
3) Demonstrated skills following established test or installation procedures.
4) Must have an interim secret clearance to start, and the ability to maintain a Secret clearance
5) Proficient using MS Office Software including; Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
6) Experience utilizing different pieces of test equipment like a Digital Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, or a Signal Generator to name a few.
Desired Skills:1) Previous field engineering and equipment support experience in support of a defense program.
2) Previous Military experience performing maintenance and operation of AN/BLQ-10 system.
3) Previous Navy experience supporting other Navy EW systems.
4) Knowledge and understanding of Troubleshooting, and Repair of other Navy Electronics and Server Based Systems.
5) Understanding of Unix/Linux operating system in the areas of file system navigation and commands.
6) Fiber Optics repair/cleaning/polishing

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $60,600 - $106,835. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
