Lockheed Martin Space in Huntsville Alabama is seeking a team player with excellent communication skills who is a problem solver and self-starter to fill a full-time Early Career Contracts Management.

This individual will be responsible for all aspects of contract administration, including day-to-day contractual oversight, closeout, and support for related future proposals and negotiations. Additional specific tasks include, but are not limited to, the evaluation of customer requests (solicitations and limited, to formal correspondence with customer(s), modifications including financial / terms), contracts file management, intercompany agreements, support to our supply chain organization, and closeout.
Candidate will work closely with functional organizations (finance, pricing, program management, engineering, supply chain, etc.). Must have proven communication skills with peers and leadership, be a self-starter who is willing to learn, demonstrate strategic thinking, be able to effectively coordinate with multiple internal and external customers, and have the ability to work independently.
Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or related field.
• 0-2 years of experience in contract management, procurement, or a related field.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with contract management software and systems is a plus.
•This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen and eligible for Secret security clearance.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships and communications with all internal and external customers and possess some business acumen.
Desired Skills:• Proven exceptional strategic communication skills, both written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, as well as program and executive management, with an ability to persuade and motivate action.
• Strong understanding of contract law, contract management principles, and industry best practices.
• Business Writing - emails, formal correspondence, proposals, and presentations.
• Determination to drive results with humility, tact and patience coordinating progress on a variety of topics driving results with general oversite.
• Proven track record of meeting commitments and customer satisfaction.
• Willingness to learn and desire to take on new assignments as necessary.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain high value customer relationships. maintain versatility and flexibility in demanding situations.
• You bring positivity and enthusiasm to every project you touch. In addition to the work, you love being part of a team and working collaboratively through the process.
• Work complex assignments independently and support Finance, Program Management, and various levels of Management
• Enter and manage data in the Contract Management System, financial and delivery systems.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
