The Boeing Company is seeking a motivated and talented Software Quality Engineer (Associate or Experienced) to join the Air Dominance group in Hazelwood, Missouri. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Software Quality Engineering business organization.
Our team of highly motivated, customer-focused engineers’ partner with BDS programs to help develop and maintain a culture of first-time quality throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC). As a member of this team, you have the autonomy and responsibility to work with programs to assure the process for developing, controlling, and verifying software products is planned and complied with, and effectively improving the quality of our software products – whether developed by Boeing or provided by suppliers.
The successful candidate for this position will have a broad background in software development practices, tools, and processes combined with a passion for advocating First Time Quality strategies. Experience with Agile and knowledge of quality standards (e.g. AS9100 / AS9115) is strongly preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills, are crucial for success.

Position Responsibilities:
Actively participates in program activities, from initial proposal and planning to and delivery
Coordinates support across SQEs supporting a program, as necessary, to ensure SQE commitments are met
Performs process and product audits to verify software lifecycle activities and products comply with approved software processes, plans, and standards
Supports program milestone and formal review meetings, occasionally preparing and presenting information
Verifies that software testing is done to meet software requirements
Performs final reconciliation of software data products
Conducts root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions and other defect activities
Teams with equipment managers of supplier products to monitor and evaluate supplier software development performance
Acts as an independent set of eyes and ears for Program Managers and the customer, highlighting potential best practices on the team, as well as areas for improvement
Supports the identification and analysis of program/project software quality metrics to improve software quality and manage risk
Prepares and presents information at formal review meetings
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years experience with Software Development lifecycle (including Requirements Analysis, Design, Code, Integration & Test)
1+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
Experienced with products developed using Agile software development practices
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
3+ years of software quality engineering experience supporting software with AS9115, DO-178, and/or MIL-STD-882E requirements
Experience with DevSecOps and associated tools

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range for Associate Level: $73,100.00 - $98,900.00.
Summary pay range for Mid-Level: $89,250.00 - $120,750.
