Job Summary:
Continuous Improvement: Promotes a culture of continuous improvement within the organization by seeking feedback from employees, implementing best practices, and implementing innovative ideas. |
Provides strong support for operators to turn improvement ideas into safe and workable solutions |
Support Rapid Improvement Events in the application and development of ideas |
Guides and supports employees through change initiatives by communicating the benefits, addressing concerns, and providing necessary training and resources. |
Responsibilities:
Manufacture tables, workstations, trolleys, tool holders, mistake proofing, accessories, ergonomic assists and any other device that helps improve safety, quality, delivery, inventory and productivity objectives. Modify existing equipment to improve its usefulness in the process and perform advance fabrication and welding activities. |
Obtain 9SPS certification and solve problems related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity objectives |
Develop Preventative Maintenance plan for shop equipment |
Support 5S implementation and maintenance for RIE activities |
Coach and support adherence and execution of Management of Change (M.O.C.) activities within the operation |
Qualifications:Key Competencies: 1. High School Diploma or GED, including certification in welding.
2. Minimum of3 years of experience asa manufacturer, machinist, mechanic, maintenance, or related.
3. Skills in the construction, use and maintenance of materials, tools and/or equipment.
4. Welding skills.
5. Math and measurement skills.
6. Good interpersonal relationships.
7. Oral and written communication skills.
8. Skills in reading plans.
