Who we’re looking for
At Toyota, we are committed to continuous improvement and innovation. Our team is dedicated to enhancing our procurement processes through the effective use of technology. We are seeking a highly skilled Ariba Product Owner with both functional and technical expertise in SAP Ariba to join our team.
The Product Owner will be responsible for overseeing the functional and technical aspects of the SAP Ariba platform, ensuring seamless integration with SAP systems via the Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG). This role requires a deep understanding of all Ariba modules, including Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Supplier Lifecycle and Performance (SLP), and Dynamic Discounting. The ideal candidate will manage incident resolution, lead enhancement initiatives, and collaborate with both onshore and offshore Application Management Services (AMS) teams to maintain optimal system performance.
Reporting to the PTP Manager, the person in this role will support the Business Transformation & App Modernization department's objective to have a strong Team Member in the Ariba technical space.
What you’ll be doing
Configuration and Development: Strong hands-on experience configuring and developing SAP Ariba solutions, including customization of Ariba Buying and Invoicing.
Incident Management: Handling complex incidents, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing timely resolutions to maintain system stability.
CIG (Cloud Integration Gateway): Proficiency in CIG, including the ability to perform upgrades and maintain integrations with various systems.
Functional Technical Specs: Capable of writing detailed functional and technical specifications that document the requirements and customizations.
Gap Analysis: Skilled in conducting gap analysis to identify discrepancies between business needs and SAP Ariba configurations or code.
Incident Management:
Leading the resolution of incidents related to SAP Ariba, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Develop and implement strategies to reduce incident volume over time.
Team Coordination:
Enhancements and Development:
Identify opportunities for system enhancements and lead the implementation of new features.
Oversee configuration and development activities within the SAP Ariba platform.
Integration and Configuration:
Utilize SAP Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG) to ensure seamless integration with SAP S/4HANA.
Manage configurations across all Ariba modules to meet business requirements.
Process Improvement:
Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with business units to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions
Stay informed about Ariba’s North Star roadmap and guide the organization in adopting new functionalities.
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proficiency in technical areas like Java, XML, and JavaScript is crucial, as these are commonly used in SAP Ariba customization.
Minimum of 5 years of experience working with SAP Ariba, with a focus on both functional and technical roles.
Proficiency in SAP Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG) and its configuration with SAP S/4HANA.
In-depth knowledge of all Ariba modules, including:
Experience in incident management and leading production support teams.
Strong understanding of SAP Ariba’s integration capabilities and configuration settings.
Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated leadership presence and the ability to present effectively to stakeholders.
Ariba Expertise: In-depth knowledge of SAP Ariba’s suite of solutions, including Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Contract Management, and Supplier Performance and Sourcing.
Configuration and Development: Strong hands-on experience in configuring and developing SAP Ariba solutions, including customization of Ariba Buying and Invoicing.
Added Bonus:
SAP Ariba Certification: Acquire relevant SAP Ariba certifications, such as SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP Ariba Integration.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Communication Skills: Effective communication is crucial, as you’ll need to work closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand requirements and convey solutions.
Problem-solving skills: The ability to analyze complex issues, devise solutions, and implement them efficiently.
Project Management: Understanding of project management methodologies to handle P2P enhancements and upgrades effectively.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest developments in SAP Ariba and related technologies including BTP and SAC.
Teamwork: Collaboration with cross-functional teams and a customer-focused approach to ensure that solutions meet business needs.
Adaptability: Given the evolving nature of technology, being adaptable and open to learning new tools and techniques is vital
