Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineering Manager to join their team in San Antonio, TX.
This position will support the VC-25B program.
The successful candidate will have the ability to understand technical and business requirements, work seamlessly between organizational functions, manage competing priorities, and enforce quality requirements. They will also work collaboratively across a variety of functions and levels within the organization and customer.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manages employees performing quality engineering and technical activities on or in support of programs through all phases of the product lifecycle.
- Develops quality strategies and plans in support of new business acquisition and execution of program/business plans.
- Acquires and manages resources, provides quality technical management and leads performance improvements.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports.
- Oversees review of technical information to ensure quality and producibility.
- Manages, develops and motivates employees.
- Interfaces with Operations, Quality, Engineering, regulatory agencies and suppliers/partners to resolve issues impacting airplane build, test and delivery.
- Enforces quality management system requirements.
- Provides education and coaching on the Quality System. .
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor' of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing technology), computer science, data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- 3+ years of experience with Quality Management System (QMS)
- 1+ year experience developing or working with manufacturing work instructions and inspection plans
- 1+ years of experience working with Defense contracts and customer requirements
- 1+ years of experience in leading or managing cross-functional or cross-organizational teams within manufacturing
- 1+ year of experience performing data analysis and visualization
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Active Secret Security Clearance or higher. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
- Prior experience as a Quality Engineer or Production Engineer (ME/LE)
- Prior Quality leadership experience
- Process Monitoring experience
- 1+ year of experience with RCCA/BPSM
- Experience with product verification acceptance plan (PVAP) development

Summary pay range: USD $110,500 - $139,500
