Leidos’ Defense Systems is seeking a talented Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer for its Hypersonics line of business. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Leidos provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions. The selected candidate will support the Common Hypersonic Glide Body program (CHGB). Primary Responsibilities.
- Creating technical data package artifacts (drawings and documents).
- Creating of Bill of Materials.
- Implementation of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing in accordance with ASME standards.
- Supporting production activity issue resolution.
Basic Qualifications.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited school with 4+ years of experience.
- Proficient in CAD software (Creo, AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Understanding of applicable concepts from engineering specifications and drawing structure.
- Independently applies GD&T methods and tolerance stack-ups on parts and assemblies.
- Works within integrated teams supporting drawing modification and production activities.
- Experience leading issue resolution in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the organization.
- Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications.
- Prior work in DoD Missile, Reentry Vehicle, or Hypersonics fields.
- Prior work creating engineering drawings using PTC Creo and Windchill.
- Understanding of cost and schedule implications of typical engineering deliverables.
- Experience working rapidly changing development programs.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00
