The Boeing Space, Intelligence & Weapon Systems Division's Global Satellite Configuration and Control Equipment (GSCCE) program is seeking motivated, goal-achieving, and team oriented systems engineers to update, upgrade, and develop an updated and modernized global military satellite communications (MILSATCOM) ground system that will manage the WGS Payloads for all F1-F12 satellites — for the Boeing-built Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) satellites.
Position Overview:
As a member of the GSCCE team, you will be involved in the entire product development lifecycle, from idea creation and development, all the way through to maintenance and support of the customer’s delivered system. These positions will place you in roles where you have the opportunity to make an impact on the results of our project. The GSCCE team offers a collaborative mentoring environment where you have the opportunity to learn from or lead others. Systems engineering is an interdisciplinary engineering management process that evolves and verifies an integrated, life-cycle balanced set of system solutions that satisfy customer needs.
The successful candidate(s) will drive the daily execution of product development in a fast paced success oriented modified-agile environment. We seek candidates who have strong skills in system engineering including: designing, integrating, maintaining complex systems and products, requiring strong problem-solving, technical, and communication skills, and often involves working in teams and managing projects
Position Responsibilities:
Technology areas these positions will be focused on are:
Perform System Design analysis of Ground Infrastructure HW Baseline(s)
Lead Analysis of Performance Requirements, Performance Allocations to Segments, Subsystems.
Develop and Perform Simulation and Modeling to assess GSCCE System Performance Attributes
Establish a requirements baseline including analysis, derivation, allocation, and traceability of requirements and interfaces, including external systems and organizations
Requirements and Thread management through the use of System Mission Threads
Identify, Perform and Review design decisions, trade studies, architecture improvements
Decompose complex requirements into executable discrete user stories
Establish and support system level management and interfaces
Develop and manage risk and opportunity baseline
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
5 years or more of experience implementing/maintaining requirements and problem solving.
2 years or more of computer programming or knowledge of computer development
5 years or more of experience in Engineering Discipline
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Prior experience with systems design
Software development & integration experience
SATCOM domain experience
Diagnose and solve complex technical problems.
Identify potential issues early in the development process
Develop and implement solutions to address problems
Develop system architectures and designs, considering various factors like performance, reliability, and cost
Analyze customer requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications
Communicate technical information clearly and concisely
Document system designs and processes
Integrate different components and subsystems to form a complete system
Network infrastructure development experience
Agile Development and Tool experience
HW/SW Automated Test Verification experience
Track project progress and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget (for Leads)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range (Senior, Level 4): $119,850 - $162,150
Summary pay range (Lead, level 5): $147,050 - $198,950
