Position Summary:
The Combat Programs Principal Analyst will support Program Executive Office-SOF Warrior Lethality Program Management Office within the N881 Combat Programs Requirements Division with concept development, requirements documentation, subject matter expert support, and market research in support of Naval Special Warfare Command (NSWC) sponsored lethality capability requirements. The Combat Programs Principal Analyst will also be required to closely coordinate with peers on projects that combine capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
·Identify and describe concepts, policies, technologies, and business practices associated with tactical level weapon systems, visual augmentations systems, small arms and precision ammunitions, explosives and precision strike capabilities as they relate to NSWC and USSOF.
·Familiarize and advise NSWC senior leaders on current Lethality program of record equipment and capability development efforts.
·Assist the N88 in developing, implementing, and resolving capability development efforts across the range of SOF Lethality capabilities based on three critical factors: 1) unit skill levels, 2) equipment capabilities, and 3) the identified SOF Lethality needs of the command.
·Continually assess the critical factors and using that assessment, provide the tailored assistance necessary to ensure successful capability development efforts in achieving NSWC’s mission.
·Relate existing SOF Lethality theories and technologies to current and emerging military problem sets including threats to small unit movement in peer and near peer operational environments..
·Evaluate and critique existing policies, procedures, and doctrine affecting SOF Lethality operations in support of military operations.
·Clearly articulate alternatives to overcome identified SOF Lethality gaps and support the proposed solutions by identifying their impact throughout the spectrum of military operations.
·Coordinate closely with the other SOF Component Commands to identify critical pathways and synergies between the other commands.
·Exposure and familiarity with the following programs of record: USMC, US Army and USSOF Lethality systems.

·Location: Onsite at Naval Special Warfare Command, Coronado, CA. (Remote potential)

Qualifications:
Required:
·Thorough understanding of USSOCM Directive 71-4; the SOF Capabilities Integration and Development System (SOFCIDS) process and related DoD, Joint Staff requirements processes.
·Ability to draft formal SOFCIDS compliant requirements documents including Initial Capability Document, Capability Development Document, DOTmLPF Change Requests and rapid prototyping and/or rapid fielding acquisition documents.
·3+ years of combined operational experience including: Any combined operational experience in the following areas: small unit warfare operations in a designated Special Operations component command.
·Formal training credentials or formally documented experience in small unit tactics in mounted and dismounted combat operations.
·Possess and maintain a SECRET clearance with TOP SECRET SCI eligibility.
