The Mgr Employee Relations & HR Policy is responsible for facilitating and leading employee relations matters, while ensuring consistency in process, practice and outcome, as well as interpreting HR Policy for the organization and driving amendments to maintain compliance with legal and organizational requirements. As a manager, this role will collaborate with leaders, Legal, HR Business Partners, BERC and others to tier, prioritize, investigate, and close out cases, in addition to leading a team responsible for the same. This position will also assess and analyze employee relations and HR policy trends, provide appropriate reporting to various levels of the organization, and propose methods to improve problematic trends after careful research and consideration.

Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Oversees employee relations matters, internal investigations, mitigation efforts, record development and preservation, organizational reporting and trending
- Handles the selection, training and development of employee relations and HR policy staff
- Ensures that policies, standards, and practices are communicated timely and appropriately to employees in an organized and documentable manner
- Counsels and advises leaders, HR professionals and employees regarding the interpretation and application of HR policies and standards ensuring consistency throughout the organization
- Assesses employment laws, administrative rulings, case law, and trends to ensure HR policies, standards and practices remain in compliance or are amended as needed and communicated appropriately to the organization
- Develops reporting to assemble employee relations and policy trends, maintains appropriate data, assesses trends, and responds accordingly with communication and/or training to leaders

Education/Years of Experience:
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Psychology, or related; a minimum of eight (8) years professional experience with at least four (4) years in Human Resources
- Preferred: Juris Doctorate or Master's degree in Business, Human Resources, Psychology, or related; a minimum of ten (10) years professional experience with at least four (4) years in Human Resources and/or Legal
Other Requirements:
- Demonstrates outstanding organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and PC skills
- Prior experience conducting employee investigations
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
- Sound judgment and fine-tuned reasoning abilities
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills; communicating to audiences in varying roles and at all levels
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Customer service orientation passionate about meeting customer needs
