The Long Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW) program is seeking a Project Engineer IV to support the Assembly, Integration and Test (AI&T) team at our
Huntsville, AL campus. As a key member of the team, as our Project Engineer you will play a critical role in supporting production and integration efforts, ensuring the success of the program. The AI&T team is responsible for overseeing the assembly, integration, and testing of the LRHW system, and our Project Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of these activities. Our candidate will have a strong Engineering background, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and experience working in a production environment.
Key responsibilities: In this role you will... • Develop Manufacturing Work Instructions (MWI) for the build of electrical and mechanical assemblies
• Communicate and coordinate with hardware design engineers to ensure design features are met
• Collaborate with Quality team for document submittal and revision changes
• Provide support to production operations, including troubleshooting and process
• Interface with suppliers to assist with meeting product specifications

Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor degree in an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related STEM discipline with 7-9 years of prior experience experience in a production environment, preferably in the Aerospace or Defense industry
• Experience with CAD and SAP/ERP software
• A strong understanding of manufacturing processes and techniques
• Ability to troubleshoot Command, Control and Communication architecture
• Experience with Electrical test equipment such as bench top power supplies, oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, data acquisition systems and software development tools
• US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:• Active Secret Clearance
• 10+ years of experience experience in a production environment, preferably in the Aerospace or Defense industry
• Experience with developing Manufacturing Work Instructions related to mechanical assemblies
• Demonstrated basic understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors
• Broad experience with Manufacturing, Integration and Test Lifecycle
• Strong teamwork skills
• Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal and collaboration skills

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees.
