What does a successful Hardware Lab Manager do at Fiserv?

Join our team as a Hardware Lab Manager and play a crucial role in supporting the development of cutting-edge POS and payment systems. You'll manage our hardware lab, maintain equipment, perform engineering tests, and rework prototypes—ensuring our engineers have everything they need to bring innovative products to life. If you love hands-on work, problem-solving, and collaborating with a cross-functional team, we’d love to hear from you!

What you will do:

• Work closely with hardware engineers to support product development and testing of POS/Payment systems.
• Rework, assemble, and debug prototype hardware, including soldering and circuit modifications.
• Set up and maintain mechanical and electrical test fixtures for product evaluation.
• Troubleshoot and maintain electrical test equipment to ensure reliable performance.
• Keep the lab clean, organized, and stocked with essential tools and components.
• Manage lab equipment calibration and ensure compliance with testing standards.
• Schedule and coordinate test slots at external labs as needed.
• Work with external fabrication and assembly partners for rework and prototyping needs.

What you will need to have:

• AS or BS in Electrical Engineering preferred, or equivalent combination of education, experience, and military service.
• At least 6 years of experience in the Hardware Industry.
• Strong understanding of electronic circuits, schematics, and assembly techniques.
• Excellent soldering and rework skills.
• Hands-on experience assembling, disassembling, and modifying prototype hardware.
• Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and multimeters.
• Strong debugging and failure analysis skills for electronic circuits.
• Ability to execute tests with minimal guidance from hardware engineers.

What would be great to have:

• Knowledge of scripts for updating prototype software version.

Salary Range

These pay ranges apply to employees in New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
