As a part of Wells Fargo's second line of defense and Independent Risk Management team, Independent Testing covers jobs responsible for the development and design of methodologies and standards for review activities. This ensures performing effective and appropriate testing, validation, and documentation of review activities for risks and controls according to standards and other applicable policies.
In this role, you will:- Perform detailed code reviews, identifying anomalies and other potential data quality concerns
- Utilize data analytics skills and specialized knowledge to independently research issues relating to data integrity driving to root cause
- Partner with testing team members to educate them on the data received and design strategies to analyze the data including creation of data subsets or calculated fields
- Document data acquisition procedures performed and summarize relevant system access
- Developing moderate to complex data analysis applications using tools such as SQL and/or SAS; developing data analysis applications based on existing routines; working on exception/trend analysis of historical information; assessing and accurately interpreting data analysis results; proposing solutions to root causes of identified conditions; navigating within technology environments to locate, validate, extract, and format data for data analysis
- Navigate within technology environments to locate validate, extract, and format data for data analysis testing
- Participate in less complex development and design of methodologies and standards for review activities companywide in alignment with the risk management framework
- Ensure effective and appropriate testing, validation, and documentation of review activities for risk programs, risks, and controls according to standards and other applicable policies within Independent Testing
- Support and implement less complex initiatives with low to moderate risk and exercise independent judgment to guide risk reporting, escalation, and resolution
- Present recommendations for resolving more complex situations and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in risk management framework and the risk and control environment
- Collaborate and consult with colleagues, internal partners and management
Required Qualifications:- 2+ years of Independent Testing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:- Performing data analysis using tools such as SQL and/or SAS; working on exception/trend analysis of historical information; assessing and accurately interpreting data analysis results; proposing solutions to root causes of identified conditions; navigating within technology environments to locate, validate, extract, and format data for data analysis.
- Experience with other analytics, business intelligence, or database management tools such as Toad, DAX, Microsoft Power platform, or Alteryx is a plus.
- Experience gathering, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets; ability to retrieve data from various information systems.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to research trends and analyze data.
- Utilize data analytics skills and specialized knowledge to independently research issues relating to data validation and data-drive testing
- Document data acquisition procedures performed and summarize relevant system access.
- Navigate within technology environments to locate validate, extract, and format data for data analysis testing.

Pay RangeReflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$63,600.00 - $113,000.00
