This is a contingent position based upon contract award
KBR is seeking a highly motivated and career-oriented Sprinkler Technician to join our team supporting a government client in Maryland. In this role you will be part of the acquisition management team.
Key Responsibilities:
- The purpose of this position is to inspect, service, maintain, repair fire sprinkler and fire suppression systems
- Performs routine and complex maintenance and repairs on various fire suppression equipment, e.g., Wet, dry and pre-action sprinkler systems, fire hydrants, wet chemical systems and carbon dioxide systems.
- Identifies hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
- Ensures that work is in accordance with relevant codes.
- Read, interpret, and apply system design plans, as well as building construction drawings and documents
- Work independently and as a team member on all aspects of fire sprinkler systems, including maintenance, testing, repairs, and troubleshooting.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High level of knowledge & application of the National Fire Alarm Code and pertinent UFC codes.
- Must be thoroughly capable of reading, interpreting, and applying system design plans, as well as building construction drawings and documents.
- Ability and willingness to work independently and as a team member on all aspects of fire sprinkler systems, including maintenance, testing, repairs, and troubleshooting
Qualifications:
Required:
- Clearance Requirement: TS/SCI with willingness to sit for a poly upon request
- Must be a US Citizen
- NICET Level III in Sprinkler
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in the Fire Protection/Life Safety Industry including:
- Experience in Fire Sprinkler Field as pipefitter, Journeyman and/or Foreman.
- Extensive knowledge of various types of Sprinkler Systems (wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, fire pumps, etc.)
- Experience in the DoD/IC
Desired:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge or experience in Congressional budget actions, implications, and applications to government programs
- Experience developing Independent Government Cost estimates
Basic Compensation:
$66,800 - $100,200
This range is for the Maryland area only
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
