Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a talented Systems Engineer to support Space-Based Infrared Systems (SBIRS) modernization efforts. Based in Colorado, you’ll collaborate with the SpOC/4STS Program Office, Greeley Air National Guard, and Buckley AFB. Be the driving force behind cutting-edge solutions for survivable and endurable systems, phased-array antennas, data processing, and UHF communications.
This Role:
Provide depot-level maintenance to the 233rd Space Group, including emergency support and updates to Technical Orders (TOs) and Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs).
Perform on-site troubleshooting for Mobile Ground Terminals/Communication Vehicles, ensuring mission success.
Conduct system and capabilities analyses to drive sustainment priorities.
Spearhead modernization efforts—analyzing requirements, selecting products, decomposing functions, and verifying system suitability.
Responsibilities:
Lead modernization initiatives for SBIRS, including requirements analysis, product selection, and system integration.
Provide hands-on depot-level maintenance for the 233rd Space Group, including emergency on-site support.
Develop and update technical documentation (TOs, TCTOs), ensuring compliance with Space Force standards.
Troubleshoot and maintain Mobile Ground Terminals/Communication Vehicles, ensuring seamless mission operations.
Conduct system analyses to prioritize sustainment and improve capabilities.
Required Experience, Skills, and Education:
Bachelor’s in a related field with 2+ years of experience. Additional experience, training, and/or certifications may substitute degree requirement.
Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience, including RF and power systems.
Proficiency with systems engineering processes, technical documentation, and hardware integration.
Exceptional communication and technical writing skills.
Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education:
Knowledge of satellite communications, HVAC, and network systems.
Experience with data encryption, fiber optics, AutoCAD, and legacy systems.
Familiarity with Space Force modification processes (Form 1067).

Pay Range:
Pay Range $67,600.00 - $122,200.00
