The Office of Technology has an opening to work with a talented multi-disciplined technology team. The Technology Narrative Team develops communication strategies around our technology vision, shares exciting updates on our technological initiatives, and effectively communicates the impact of technology advancements on the business to both internal and external audiences. The ultimate goal is to increase awareness of innovative Leidos technical advancements and technological capabilities.
While we prefer this position to be supported out of the Reston, VA HQ office, we will consider remote option for the right candidate.
Candidates are expected to have a background in one or more Leidos technology fields and a solid grasp of at least one key Leidos initiative: Software, Cyber, AI or Signal Processing, along with recent experience in social media and digital marketing content creation.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Communicate Complex Technical concepts
- Understand complex technology concepts from across Sectors and translate to strategic narratives that appeal to both technical and non-technical audiences.
2. Identify Audience Segments
- Identify specific audience segments (e.g., developers, business executives, general consumers) for each Technology and tailor technology narratives to address the interests and needs of each group.
3. Develop Strategic Technology Narratives
- Craft a cohesive and engaging story around selected Leidos technology capabilities, showcase their potential impact, benefits, and real-world applications showing how the technology improves lives or solves significant challenges.
5. Create Diversified Multi-Platform Content
- Develop innovative forms of content (e.g., blog posts, videos, infographics, podcasts, webinars) to engage audiences on multiple leading platforms and channels.
- Adapt the core message of each technology to tailor to particular platforms or channel (e.g., tone, style, depth of information)
7. Monitor Industry Trends
- Keep up to date with the latest developments in the tech world to ensure the narrative stays relevant and forward-looking.
- Incorporate the latest innovations (across multiple Leidos Technology areas) and demonstrate how the technology fits into broader industry trends.
8. Collaborate across Teams:
- Work closely with Leidos development, marketing, and engineering teams to understand the technical details and the technology’s capabilities and goals.
- Gather feedback from internal and external stakeholders to refine and validate the message, ensuring it resonates with intended audiences and aligns with business objectives.
9. Track and Establish Measures of Effectiveness
- Analyze the performance of content across platforms (views, shares, comments, conversions, etc.) and track engagement metrics to improve audience engagement and brand awareness.
- Continuously refine the narrative based on audience feedback, analytics, and emerging trends.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree with 8+ years prior relevant experience in a related technology field. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree requirements
- Experience working in AI, Cyber, Software or Signal processing fields with a solid understanding of current technologies, trends and innovations, and their business implications
- Demonstrated examples of creating, curating, and distributing content across various digital channels to promote a brand awareness for technology-based organizations like Leidos
- Knowledge of media channels, journalists, and public relations best practices to promote audience engagement
- Ability to develop and implement comprehensive communication plans.
- Proven ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
- Ability to craft targeted narratives with analogies & visuals to define and relate how specific technologies benefit target audiences. This may involve highlighting how the technology addresses human needs, solves specific problems, or enhances experiences, which makes it more relatable to a broad audience.
- US citizenship is required with ability to obtain security clearance as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active Secret clearance with ability to receive TS/SCI.
- Subject Matter Expert level experience in one of AI, Cyber, Software or Signal processing fields
- Recent experience in developing and implementing marketing strategies
- Proven ability to improve measures of effectiveness by monitoring media coverage and social media sentiment
- Experience working in a fast-paced commercial environment.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $80,600.00 - $145,700.00
