As part of the Digital Security Operations team, Cyber Threat Intel Analyst will be responsible for coordinating the organization's cyber threat intelligence efforts, identifying and researching potential cyber threats, and driving improvements to our overall security posture. This role requires a deep understanding of cyber threat intelligence (CTI) methodologies and the ability to keep up with rapidly evolving cyber threats. As part of a highly technical team, this role will be a key contributor to driving improvement of Trane’s CTI capabilities, optimizing processes, and fostering collaboration between various teams. This position reports to the Sr. Manager of Security Operations Detection and Response.

Where is the work:
This is a Remote position.
Responsibilities:
- Provide real-time insight into the prioritization and evaluation of relevant intelligence for Digital Risk to maintain pace with emerging risks and active threats related to the company’s technology and vendor stackCreate intelligence bulletins and analysis of critical and high-severity vulnerabilities that may impact the organization
- Research and disseminate analysis for industry-specific threat activity that will increase the organization’s situational awareness, including executive reports and recommendations for preventative controls
- Maintain strategic, operational, and tactical threat intelligence to integrate into the existing detection and response capabilities
- Enhance the organization’s understanding of how threats and vulnerabilities can impose risk on users, data, and assets
- Support security response efforts and requests for investigation by providing analysis context to IOCs, TTPs, or other relevant threats
- Help build and mature existing CTI capabilities, processes, and platforms
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or equivalent working experience in cybersecurity
- Proven experience (2-5 years) in cyber threat intel or equivalent roles, including hands-on technical experience performing threat intelligence analysis
- Strong knowledge of attacker methodologies, tools, and techniques in the cyber security space
- A firm understanding of incident response, security analysis, and vulnerability management
- Familiarity with cyber security frameworks such as NIST CSF and NIST SP 800-61
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with different stakeholders
- Advanced certifications such as SANS GIAC/GCIA/GCIH, CISSP or CASP and/or vendor-specific training and certifications are highly desirable
- Experience in incident response and threat hunting techniques is highly desirable
- Up-to-date knowledge of emerging cyber threats, attack vectors, and vulnerabilities
Compensation:
Base Pay Range: $114,700 - 120,000
Total compensation for this role will include a commission/incentive plan. Disclaimer: This base pay range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed.
