What does a successful Mechanical Engineer - Design, Assembly, Process do at Fiserv?

What you will do:
- Work closely with JDM partners to guide hardware designs through development, testing, and mass production.
- Build and execute test plans, leveraging partner resources to ensure product quality and performance.
- Lead root cause analysis to identify and implement effective solutions.
- Travel on-site to manufacturing partners to review designs, run experiments, and troubleshoot issues.
- Provide hands-on support during New Product Introduction (NPI) to ensure smooth production and testing.
- Assist in compliance efforts, sustaining work for existing products, and post-launch failure analysis.
- Manage multiple projects in a fast-moving environment, driving results with agility and focus.
What you will need to have:
- Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years of product design experience, with expertise in tooling and process development.
- Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals with a proven track record of shipping products.
- Experience in system integration, design for manufacturing (DFM), and design for test (DFT).
- Hands-on experience supporting manufacturing and resolving production challenges.
- Experience managing ODMs and suppliers to meet industrial design and product specifications.
- Proficiency in engineering release practices, hardware issue tracking, and documentation.
- Expertise in designing mechanical components, including injection-molded parts, sheet metal, die-cast, and machined parts.
- Proficiency in CAD modeling and 2D drawings (preferably with Creo).
- Experience with tolerance analysis and failure analysis.
What would be great to have:
- Bilingual skills in Portuguese or Mandarin.
- Background in consumer electronics, with experience designing high-volume, highly cosmetic, and reliable products from concept to mass production.
