What does a successful Engineering Program Manager do at Fiserv?
As an Engineering Program Manager – Hardware you will be responsible for driving the product integration of Clover's POS Hardware. You will be engaged from concept and support all hardware aspects needed to continuously build great hardware.
What you will do:
- Partner with hardware and system software teams to improve and maintain Clover’s hardware products throughout the design and development cycle.
- Collaborate with product, design, engineering, operations, and customer support teams to prioritize manufacturing needs and drive reliability and quality improvements.
- Build and track project schedules to ensure seamless production and launch of Clover hardware.
- Work closely with hardware, software, and certification teams to deliver hardware on time.
- Manage hardware test device supply for external labs to complete payment certifications, including PCI/PTS, EMVCo, and P2PE.
- Develop strong relationships with ODM partners to streamline the implementation and execution of hardware plans.
- Oversee change management and production timelines to ensure smooth hardware transitions.
- Support factory bring-up activities onsite to troubleshoot and resolve issues during hardware builds.
What you will need to have:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent combination of experience in technical environment leading programs, education and military.
- 5+ years of Technical Program Management experience in hardware product development, or a mix of Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and at least 3 years of Program Management.
- Proficiency in project planning and scheduling tools to manage and track project progress.
- Strong ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and drive consensus in ambiguous situations.
- Extensive experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing both business and technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
- Proven track record of delivering high-volume hardware products with consistency and quality.
What would be great to have:
- Exceptional communication skills, both within your team and with leadership and partners.
- Knowledge of Reliability and Quality methods and requirements for hardware.
- Knowledge of Android-based devices.
- Experience with FinTech or Payment technologies is considered a plus.
- Experience with IoT products and working with Telecom vendors.
