Program Summary

The Marine Corps' Prepositioning (MCPP) Program is based on Blount Island in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistics services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) and U.S. Navy.  Our Maintenance Management Office (MMO) is seeking a Process Control Analyst (PCA)  to join our Jacksonville Team!

Job Summary

Plans, organizes, and leads day-to-day activities of one or more departmental or functional activities. Responsible for implementing training requirements and monitoring employee performance. Establishes production standards, monitors compliance, and recommends operational improvements. Assist the manager in accomplishing the short and long-term goals for the department/function. Maintains employee compliance with safety policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with applicable government regulations. Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree and 5-7 years of experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

Supervises and coordinates activities of mechanics who are performing automotive mechanic duties. To include inspections, all levels of maintenance, and repair of motor transport vehicles. Supervises and coordinates activities of motor transport mechanics engaged in repairing, adjusting, servicing, and storing motor vehicles. Responsible for equipment readiness, maintenance shop organizations, control of maintenance assets and providing advice on all matters relating to motor transport maintenance. Ensure mechanics are properly trained in all maintenance functions. Determines sequence and assignment of work based on work priority and quantity of equipment to obtain optimal use of equipment, facilities, and personnel. Keeps inventory of repair parts and equipment and requisitions replacement stock. Inspects work performed to ensure compliance with specifications and time schedules. Interpret specifications, drawing, work orders, technical instructions, and layouts. Coordinates department activities with other departments. Ensures compliance with administrative policies, procedures, and governmental regulations. Ensures employees adhere to all safety requirements, procedures, and policies. Supervise and manage the administration of workspace for motor transport equipment repair. Recommend changes to procedures as appropriate. Complies with and ensures compliance with all MCPP ISO-9002 policies and procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

•            Associate degree and/or course work towards a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering or other related discipline is preferred.  In lieu of a degree, a combination of college credits, other formalized training or education, and directly related work experience may be considered.

•            Eight (8) years of directly related work experience including two (2) years supervisory experience in a motor vehicle maintenance environment.

•            Ability to use independent judgment in determining the extent of repairs needed, based on analysis performed, user reports, inspection reports and vehicle records.

•            Proficient in the organization, management, operation and conduct of technical inspections of all motor transport equipment.

•            Comprehensive understanding of maintenance procedures.

•            Ability to comply with all established methods, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position.

•            Strong written and oral communication skills.

•            U.S. Citizen.

•            Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and base access.

Preferred Qualifications

USMC MOS 3510 or 3529 or Army MOS 91X or 91Z.
