Description:Join Lockheed Martin, the largest aerospace and defense firm in the world to support our enterprise portfolio of technology & innovation. You will also serve as a primary communicator and counsel to teams supporting our 21st Century Security initiatives, including AI and 5G.MIL, providing strategic communications guidance and expertise. This position will also be an internal champion for the integration of AI technologies like LLMs to revolutionize our communication strategies and drive innovation storytelling. As an internal consultant, you will support the adoption of Gen AI tools across all business areas, enhancing our global messaging and driving business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive innovation storytelling internally and externally to position Lockheed Martin as an industry leader in emerging technologies and internally to foster adoption.
• Draft content, including but not limited to, talking points, key messaging, social media, web articles, internal stories, and external features that position Lockheed Martin as the industry leader in innovative engineering and technology.
• Serve as a primary communicator and counsel to teams supporting our 21st Century Security initiatives, including AI and 5G.MIL, providing strategic communications guidance and expertise.
• Contribute to crisis scenario planning and exercises, ensuring the development of effective communications strategies to address potential crises.
• Monitor relevant news cycles and social media conversations about innovation and technology relevant to Lockheed Martin, proposing proactive opportunities to favorably position the company and measure the impact of communications initiatives on public perceptions.
• Coordinate enterprise innovation and technology storytelling to maximize impact, aligning messaging across functional areas and ensuring a unified narrative.
• Work closely across other functional areas, including government affairs and global business development, to align messaging and create communications opportunities that directly support business objectives.
• Act as an internal AI consultant, driving the integration and strategy of Generative AI technologies cross-functionally throughout marketing communications.
• Collaborate closely with communicators across the company to implement AI-driven solutions that align with Lockheed Martin's strategic goals.
• Monitor industry trends and advancements in AI to keep Lockheed Martin at the forefront of innovation in communications.
• Create and provide best practices for AI use cases to Communications teams.
• Demonstrate value of Generative AI adoption through tracking ROI; communicate ROI to stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:• Expertise in corporate communications supporting the promotion of technology initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience with AI technologies, particularly Generative AI platforms such as ChatGPT.
• Strong understanding of marketing and communication processes and products within a large, complex organization.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and drive innovation in a process-focused role.
• Track record of successfully leading cross-functional groups to execute projects and deliverables.
• Experience in crisis communications and scenario planning.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $106,100 - $187,105. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
