The Lockheed Martin Mission Processing DRACO team is seeking a driven Signal/Image Processing Engineer to develop cutting-edge image processing applications. In this role, you will join the SAR processing team and work alongside other imaging experts, data scientists, and software developers.
This role is focused on state-of-the-art approaches to push innovation and support the war fighter by processing images for better exploitation including AI/ML and deep learning.

In this role you will:
• Design, implement, and evaluate complex image processing algorithms to process SAR data.
• Work alongside a team of engineers on a variety of signal processing applications ranging from research-based prototypes to operationally ready algorithms.
• Develop capabilities in a Linux environment using Python or MATLAB data-science tools.
• Lead a driven team of experts and junior engineers through mentoring and delivering advanced capabilities for image processing algorithms.
This is an MID-SENIOR CAREER (level 4) ROLE where candidates typically require 9+ years of professional experience and a BS degree or above.

Basic Qualifications:Basic Qualifications
• Extensive background in STEM (Electrical Engineering, Physics, Math, etc)
• Experience in designing, training, and evaluating image processing algorithms in Python or MATLAB
• Proven rack record leading a small team of engineers.
Desired Skills:Desired Skills
• Knowledge of advanced mathematics including Complex Analysis & Fourier Transforms
• Experience in deep learning, and computer vision (e.g., CNNs, GANs, object detection, denoising auto-encoders, Tensorflow etc.)
• Experience in evaluating Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imagery and remote sensing systems
• Experience in enterprise agile software tools (Git, JIRA, Confluence, etc.)

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
