Job Summary
The Universal Ads team at Comcast is on the hunt for a visionary Software Engineering Manager to shape the future of our advertising technology. Universal Ads is revolutionizing the industry with data-driven, targeted marketing solutions across Comcast’s expansive media ecosystem—and we’re just getting started. In this role, you’ll take the reins of ensuring data continuity through our cutting-edge data pipelines and lead the charge in designing and maintaining our marketing API. The Ideal Candidate will have experience with:
- AdTech
- AWS Cloud
- Data Engineering/Software Engineering
- Python and Fast API's
- Experience leading or managing a team of 6 or more engineers
Core Responsibilities
Spearhead the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust data pipelines, ensuring seamless data continuity for Universal Ads’ advertising solutions.
Drive the development and evolution of our marketing API, creating a scalable and reliable backbone for internal and external integrations.
Lay the groundwork for a world-class engineering team by defining its structure, culture, and hiring strategy—building it from a small, agile crew into a force of innovation.
Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and engineers to turn business needs into technical solutions that power Universal Ads’ ambitious goals.
Champion engineering best practices, from code quality and testing to deployment, setting a high bar for excellence as the team grows.
Develop monitoring and alerting systems to proactively tackle pipeline or API issues, ensuring reliability at every step.
Ensure scalability, security, and performance of data systems and APIs, keeping us ahead of industry standards and compliance demands.
Lead incident response and post-mortems, turning challenges into opportunities for growth and improvement.
Communicate with clarity and confidence to technical teams and leadership alike, aligning everyone around a shared vision.
Engage in Agile ceremonies, balancing immediate priorities with the long-term strategy of scaling your team and systems.

Salary:
National Pay Range: $102,451.20 USD-$240,120.00 USD

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
