What does a Payment Exceptions Analyst do at Fiserv?
As a Payment Exceptions Analyst, you will be investigating and resolving financial discrepancies and anomalies within Settlement Controls & Solutions’ financial systems for a variety of exceptions, including credit, debit, biller, and any emerging payments. You will ensure the integrity of financial data by analyzing exceptions reporting, determining root cause and implementing corrective actions, and pursuing process and technology improvements. You will leverage analytical skills and due diligence to preserve funds for the business and our customers by ensuring corrections are made to accounts timely and accurately to promote a positive client experience.
What you will do:
- Investigate and resolve payment exceptions during the payment processing cycle and in compliance with policies and regulations.
- Analyze payment discrepancies and reconcile financial data across various systems to ensure accuracy.
- Communicate payment discrepancies to inform internal and external stakeholders including issuer remediation and escalation to management.
- Support and monitor existing automations, working directly with project analysts on issue resolution, enhancements, and testing
What will you need to have:
- 4+ years experience in banking, finance and/or accounting
- Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education, work and/or military experience
What would be great to have:
- Payments and exceptions experience
- Advanced experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Power BI or Power Automate, Business Process Automation
