Provide direction of the day-to-day operations of the division, implementing plans and policies to achieve division and overall corporate objectives, insuring profitability. Lead business development and account management activities, achieving sales targets and repeat business.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Establish and implement divisional policies, procedures, and organizational structure within the boundaries established by the management team and corporate policy.
- Develop, direct, and monitor short-term and long-range plans consistent with overall profit and growth objectives of the company.
- Plan, staff, and supervise all division activities including personnel administration, performance reviews, defining functions, responsibilities, power-to-act, and the like.
- Provide guidance and directions to subordinate managers in identifying potential clients and desired scope of projects. Maintain an effective business development program, securing profitable work on a routine basis.
- Confer with professional staff to resolve operating problems, authorize divisional operational procedures, and participate in the development of all proposals and estimates.
- Responsible for prime client and A/E relationships and communication.
- Responsible for financial results of the division including reviewing cost analysis activities on a routine basis.
- Perform additional assignments as required by the operating needs of the division or as directed by the Group President.
- Often required to lead projects as Project Executive and/or Account Manager
- Leads the development of design and engineering for aviation division projects
- Occasionally resolves conflicts and claims with customers and accounts.
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
- Four-year degree plus Ten years of experience in an applicable field.
- Extensive experience in the management of construction operating units.
- Advanced knowledge of the construction industry and company operations required.
- Extensive knowledge of financial operations, marketing, estimating, and employee relations required.
- Extensive knowledge of the aviation, aerospace and defense industries, including codes and standards applicable to the industry.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, communications, and analytical skills a necessity.
- Engineering or Construction licenses preferred.

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment, and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
