The Shockwave Value Stream is seeking a Software Engineer to support the Stormbreaker Program's Database Team as a Product Owner, and to handle the day-to-day tasking. The Product Owner role will be instrumental to the success of reinventing how we develop and maintain our current processes within the team.
This Product Owner role is aligned to the Database team that may be utilizing Scrum or Kanban agile frameworks, and will work closely with the Product Manager along with the CAM and Business Owner within our Value Stream.
Product Owner's responsibilities include:
• Writes stories to support the Database Team, articulating what and why
• Works with the Product Manager to validate the priorities of the Story backlog
• Ensures Stories have valid Acceptance Criteria and meet the Definition of Ready
• Ensures that Story level effectively meets the quality needs of the product
• Works closely with their team to ensure stories are refined and understood before sprint planning
• Accepts or rejects stories as having met Acceptance Criteria by the end of the sprint
• May work stories from the Team backlog if all Product Owner duties are complete
• Provide recurring updates (headlights, highlights, watch items, disappointments) in support of organizational status rhythms
• Actively support and champion DevOps strategies
Existing TS/SCI is required for candidates.
Basic Qualifications:• Prior experiences with Agile framework
• Prior experiences with Gitlab, Atlassian Tool Suites such as JIRA, Confluence
• Experience with product development, maintenance and/or utilization of one or more of the following: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, DB2, SQL Server
• Experience with one or more scripting such as BASH or Perl
Desired Skills:• Prior experience in an agile leadership role such as Product Owner, Scrum Master or Product Manager in the development Software Products
• Experience using agile management tool such as VersionOne, Pivotal Tracker, TFS, etc
• Experience with DevOps
• Experience in mitigating Tech Debt
• Demonstrated use of data to make data driven decisions
• Experience in creating or contributing to product roadmaps
• Prior experience with Customer and Stakeholder engagement

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
